Getting around

Prague has a comprehensive and efficient public transport system consisting of bus, metro and tram lines, and a cable car. There is public transport available at all times during day and night and different ticket modalities which will allow you to change onto a different line or transport system with the same ticket. Tickets are generally inexpensive. Our trainee coordinator will provide you with detailed information.

City buses, metro and trams are integrated into the MHD (Mestska hromadna doprava), City Public Transport. The system of public transport is efficient, comfortable and cheap. Unless you are traveling to a distant place, you can get everywhere from the city center in 20-30 minutes (during the daytime).

Daytime trams and metro run from 4:30 a.m. till midnight in 8 – 10 minute intervals (8 – 15 minutes on weekends). Night trams run from 00:30 a.m. till 4:30 a.m. in 40 minute intervals.
