Tomas is from Kunice, a small picturesque village in Central Bohemia. Coming from a family of teachers while having the chance to regularly visit his close relatives in Brighton in the UK, inspired Tomáš to become a teacher of English. He started teaching English at the age of 21 and later obtained a master’s degree in teaching English as a foreign language at Charles University in Prague.

In 2012 Tomáš completed his doctoral studies in which he focused on second language acquisition theories and current approaches to English language teacher education. In the same year he became a Director of Studies for Threshold Training Associates in Prague where he works ever since.

In his free time Tomas enjoys reading and writing poetry, playing drums and listening to music of various genres.
